The Aldershot Civic Society will be holding its meeting at the West End Centre on Tuesday 1st November with a talk from Barney Jeavons, the venues director.
Barney will be talking about what locals lovingly call the “Westy”, Aldershot’s gem of a venue which brought out local people in their thousands when it was threatened with closure some years ago.
The Westy is no longer run by Hampshire County Council but is now part of the Hampshire Cultural Trust. What does this mean for the venue, and what are the plans for its future? This meeting will give you the chance to hear and ask questions.
The meeting will take place on Tuesday 1st November 7pm at The West End Centre, Queens Road, Aldershot. GU11 3JD. All are welcome to attend.
