Pound Road
Located off the High Street standing at the foot of a wooded slope at the rear of Redan Hill. Now the slope is a high stone wall and above this is a small park and play area. Pound Road takes its name from the fact that here from 1880 to 1922 on the left of the road opposite the Beehive was the Aldershot Pound where straying animals were kept in safe custody until claimed by their owners.
