Presenter and singer Aled Jones visited Aldershot Military Cemetery to film a segment for the BBC’s Songs of Praise Remembrance Sunday episode. The programme featured the annual lighting of graves, where volunteers placed lanterns on selected headstones to mark the occasion.
Aldershot Military Cemetery is the resting place of thousands of service personnel and holds significant historical importance as part of the town known as the “Home of the British Army.” The ceremony, organised with support from local people, was recorded for the episode, which included hymns and reflections led by Aled Jones.
