Justin Coll, Chair of Aldershot Civic Society, said:
As a representative group for the people of Aldershot, the Civic Society has decided that now is the time for greater action. The state of our town centre cannot be allowed to slide further towards wrack and ruin. The serious decline of Aldershot town centre has been a well known issue for a considerable time and whilst part of a national trend, we feel positive that collaborative action can still be taken to reverse this and bring some life and innovation back to the centre of our town. It’s time for the local community to come together and better understand what’s going on so action can be taken with their full support”.
